REH wrote two versions of “Three-Bladed
Doom,” a "long version" of approximately 42,000 words, and a "short version"
of about 24,000 words.
The long version was rewritten by L. Sprague de Camp and appeared, under
the title "The Flame Knife," in Tales of Conan (Gnome Press), Conan the
Wanderer (Lancer, Prestige, Ace, Sphere), and The Flame Knife (Ace).

This book is lavishly illustrated by Esteban
Maroto. There are 50 black and white illustrations. Some fill part
of a page, some are full page, and some are double page spreads.
